SEMINAR ON SKILLS OF JOB APPLICATION
Finding a suitable job with available abilities as well as a good income is the first target for almost applicants, especially the last year students. Recently, the labor market is seriously being affected under the bad impact of Covid-19 which a huge of employee were cut down due to the many finanical difficulities. To compete with experienced staffs and other applicants, a graduate needs to prepare himself/herself a good application CV and form to pay the empolyer’s attention, considering as the neccessary requirements in an interview.
To support all students, Department of Garment Technology belongs to Faculty of Garment Technology and Fashion Design, HCMUTE, organized a seminar on “Skills for Job Application” with a speaker “Mr. Vu Van Si”, Director of Personnel Department, Binh Phu JSC and 300 students of Garment Technology, Fashion Design and Home Economics.
Many applicants carefully composed their CV with strengths such as qualifications, foreign language abilities, computer skill, etc, however, they were still missed the job in the last interview, Mr Vu Van Si said. What do employers want to know the applicants? These are full health, passion and studious spirit that the creativity of enterprising youth is spreading in whole organization. The leader always gives such applicants many opportunities to work in their company.

To persuade the interviewer, the applicants should recorgnize four types of common questions including “Implied, opinion, selective and direct question”. Many exchange questions and answers were released in the meeting which students may know their strengths and weaknesses before conducting an interview. This helps students realize actual problems and decrease stress as interviewing to get the job.

At the end of the seminar, the organizational board thanked to Mr Vu Van Si, academic staffs and student for attending and contributing the event’s sucess.
